Straight answers about representation, compensation, and EREP membership.
An Ethical Real Estate Professional™ voluntarily commits to a defined service pledge centered on transparency, client advocacy, communication, and professional accountability. It is a visible promise to put the client relationship ahead of the transaction.
Compensation is negotiable and should be discussed clearly before representation begins. An EREP explains the services provided, the agreed fee, and the possible sources of payment so clients can make an informed decision.
You should understand the scope and term of the relationship, the services included, compensation, cancellation provisions, and how your agent will communicate with you. An EREP treats the agreement as the beginning of clarity—not a pressure tactic.
Licensed real estate professionals who share the EREP standard of ethical, transparent, client-first service may apply. Membership is designed for professionals who want their conduct and client experience to distinguish them.
